Application Process 

Apply online to the CEE graduate program. Please note that the Apply Yourself application will be closed for maintenance from June 1-7, 2009. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Please contact the Graduate Admissions Coordinator at ce-admissions@cmu.edu should you have problems accessing the online application.

If you'd prefer a paper copy of our application materials, you may electronically download our graduate application materials: instructions(.pdf), application(.pdf) and letter of recommendation form(.pdf).

Please read the Frequently Asked Questions about the application process carefully. We respectfully ask that you refrain from calling or sending email unless you have a question not addressed in this list.

Application Deadlines

To enroll in the fall: you must apply by January 15

To enroll in the spring: you must apply by September 30

The application deadline for Fall enrollment is January 15th and the application deadline for Spring enrollment is September 30th. However, we are willing to consider applications at any time. Initial financial support decisions are made in March, so late applications may be at a disadvantage. If you wish to apply but cannot make the deadline, please be sure to contact Maxine Leffard, the Graduate Admissions Coordinator at ce-admissions@cmu.edu.
